Pastor of Preaching and Vision
Justin Gort
Calvary Baptist Church called Justin to serve as Pastor of Preaching and Vision in 2024. He and his wife, Heather, served with Biblical Ministries Worldwide from 2006 to 2021. Justin pastored at Calvary Bible Church in Blackfoot, Idaho, from 2006 through 2010. In 2011, they planted Cornerstone Bible Church in West Point, Utah, and faithfully ministered there for ten years. Justin and Heather have a strong heart for evangelism and discipleship.
Justin came to saving knowledge of the Lord at age 6. The church he was raised in took a serious interest in training young men for the ministry. While completing his B.A. in Bible/Theology at Appalachian Bible College, he felt led to study for the pastorate. Justin was ordained at the Ottawa Center Chapel in Michigan in 2007. He continued his education with a 51-week biblical counseling program in 2016 and classes through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2017 to 2019. He will graduate with a Master’s in Biblical Exposition in 2027.
Associate Pastor of Music and Youth
Nolan Blomberg
"God opened my eyes to my need for a savior when I was 8 years old. Though I grew up in a Christian family and knew the Bible, I had not yet trusted Christ to save my own sinful self. God convicted me of this one night as I was lying in bed. I called my parents in and they again shared the Gospel with me. That night I trusted in Christ's work on the cross to take the punishment I deserved. I placed my faith in Him to save me from my sin. He saved me! Though every day I still struggle with the temptation to sin, I look forward to my heavenly home when I can finally be rid of sin and in perfect fellowship with my Savior."
Ever since that night, God has grown in Nolan a deep desire to point others to Him. Though Nolan didn't know it, God began training him for the ministry in all sorts of opportunities: in music, in VBS, in camp counseling, in missions trips to Israel and Peru, and in student leadership in college.
Nolan attended Faith Baptist Bible College, where he met his future wife, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, and continued to grow in his love for the Lord and his burden for young people.
After graduation, Nolan married his best friend and sweetheart, Grace in June 2017. Shortly after their wedding, God used several circumstances and godly mentors to open Nolan's ears and heart to the call to ministry, which Nolan gladly recognized. Pastor Nolan and his wife Grace have four children.
Nolan joined the CBC staff in October of 2025 as Associate Pastor of Music and Youth.
He loves writing music and playing frisbee.
