Pastor Gort has arrived!

Pastor Gort has arrived!

Pastor Gort and his family's first Sunday was December 15.

Our special Installation Service was held during the evening service.

After the service, we had a wonderful Welcome Reception for the Gort Family.

Pulpit Committee Update: November 4, 2024

The congregational vote on November 3 was in the affirmative to call Justin Gort as the Pastor of Preaching and Vision.
Justin has accepted the call. Praise the Lord! The Gort family will arrive in mid-December. Thank you all for praying fervently for the Lord's will.
We are excited to see what God has in store for Calvary!

Pulpit Committee Update: October 15, 2024

Thank you for your prayers for the pulpit committee. We met this afternoon and have unanimously agreed to proceed with a church vote as to whether or not to call Justin Gort as our Pastor of Preaching and Vision.
The vote will take place on November 3 (because the constitution states that an announcement of a special church business meeting must be made on two consecutive Sundays prior to the date of the meeting).
Thank you again for your prayer investment in this important church decision.

More about Justin Gort:

Justin Gort and his wife Heather served with Biblical Ministries Worldwide from 2006 to 2021. Justin pastored in Blackfoot, Idaho, at Calvary Bible Church from 2006 through 2010. In 2011, they planted Cornerstone Bible Church in West Point, Utah, a community without a Bible-teaching church, and faithfully ministered there for ten years. Justin and Heather have a strong heart for evangelism and discipleship. God has granted them two precious daughters and a wonderful son – Juliet, Lydia, and Jude.

Justin came to a saving knowledge of the Lord at 6 years old. The church he was raised in took a serious interest in training young men for the ministry. While completing his B.A. in Bible/Theology at Appalachian Bible College, he felt led to study for the pastorate. Justin was ordained at the Ottawa Center Chapel in Michigan in 2007. He continued his education with a 51-week biblical counseling program in 2016 and classes through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2017-2019. He continues his pursuit of a master’s online through Shepherds Theological Seminary.
